Hello,
I'm Lucas Casas.
I graduated in Audiovisual (Cinema, Radio & Television) from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), one of the best film schools in Latin America. Working mostly as a freelancer, I’ve acquired some experience in various creative areas: music and soundtrack, directing, writing, cinematography, sound design, editing and others.
When I jump into a new project — whether it’s a pet project or a job — I’m always excited to try and learn new things. Even more adventurous stuff like programming and 3D modeling. Knowing a bit of everything is cool, but I also think it’s important to focus on a main area of expertise. And for me, that’s music.
I play guitar ever since I was a kid. And a bit of piano, too. Around 2012, I started to acquire an interest in creating electronic music. That’s when I started to learn all about music production, synths, mixing, mastering, etc. I also started to dive deeper into music composition. There’s a lot I’ve learned by studying online, watching videos and experimenting on my own, but I also took several courses. Besides my 5 years of guitar lessons, I also completed Game Audio School’s “Game Music” course with Antonio Teoli and two “MasterClass” online courses, with Hans Zimmer and deadmau5.
One of my best works so far is the soundtrack of Superfighters Deluxe, an indie game that had great commercial success.
In my most recent years, I’ve been developing a personal dream project: an animated psychological thriller series. My goal is to continue working as an autonomous composer and creative professional, so that I also have some time to keep working on my own projects.
Creating things is what I love to do.
